It went on to gather more than 100 million views. A follow-up in which she seems to protest “Nooooo!” pulled in tens of millions more. Mishka died on April 5, 2017, at age 14, after a battle with cancer. Her importance is easier to see now: she opened the “talking dog” genre that later stars built on.
